Ten years have elapsed since Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority inception.  In that time ADWEA has become a benchmark for excellence, as a result of the success of the privatization program, developmental projects and administrative performance.

Over the past decade ADWEA has dedicated itself to social responsibilities, realizing that only institutions devoted to its community could truly benefit from operation and interaction within their societies. We are committed to our initiatives in education and communication with educational institutions, either by training secondary school students to obtain the International Computer Driving License "ICDL", or through the distribution of hundreds of PCs to students in schools in the Western Region. Additionally, ADWEA is committed to apply international standards in all its work domains to maintain an environment that is safe and secure; we work, through the Water and Energy Research Centre, on monitoring the quality of air and levels of carbon emissions, setting all efforts ahead to secure reaching the main goal of maintaining a healthy environment. ADWEA also participates in conferences and functions organized by civic associations in education, family and the environment. We undertook these responsibilities because we believe in the concept of corporate social responsibility and team work in order to fulfill our philosophy as a service provider, concerned with securing the best services for Abu Dhabi community.

ADWEA issued its strategic plan in line with Abu Dhabi Government’s, with the aim of ADWEA operational and financial performance to be considered the best in the region and comparable with other leading international companies.  Are we capable of realizing this? Yes, by continuing to take on talented management and acquire the desire, resources and competence needed to accomplish our objective. As a result of this we should look confidently into the future ADWEA employees should feel proud to be part of this story of success.
